Bugfixes – SOUL on CoreOS (stable/1472) – 20.07.2016

This update is only available for new Protonet servers (Carlas), which are running SOUL on CoreOS and primarily contains solutions for the known issues listed in SOUL 2.16 release notes.

News and changes

• The file path to self_destruct tool has changed. A box reset can be done on the linux console via: sudo /opt/self_destruct
• We have changed the format of the support id listed on the SOUL help site
• We have improved the hardwaretests

Optimizations and fixes

• Resetting the server via self_destruct doesn’t longer fail from time to time
• Downloading huge files is no longer failing

• MacOS only: Changes regarding folders or files are not longer seen retarded via Samba (smb://) connection in Finder
• MacOS: Varios permission issues related to Samba (smb://) connections could be identified and solved

• If you move folders via SOUL these are no longer shown twice afterwords
• Restoring files from the trash is no longer failing
• If a deleted user was invited and registered again, s/he appears in correct new group at once
